Right then
to anyone who care a little update
Picked up the engine which was seperated into bottom end and head, no idea why it was taken apart which made me a little suspicious, but what the hell!
So I took it all to a friend who run's a motorbike workshop and have left it in his capable hands, the plan is to use my existing bottom end, but with the new(ish) internals and the new(ish) head!
My bottom end was inspected and said to be in good condition, no damage there thankfully. Barrels will be taken from the new(ish) engine too.
Currently just waiting for it all to get put together! Ordered genuine suzuki gaskets (in from japan) which have just turned up, so it should now just be a waiting game for Ian (mechanic) to get the engine together, which he's in no rush to do, but at the price he's doing all the work for, neither am I!

There was a point that I nearly gave up on my little bike and stripped it for bits, but mostly due to lazyness I didn't and I'm pleased that I didn't, because even though I didn't get much chance to ride it, the bike has got a hold on me now...

He did however give me a little souvieneer(sp?) to remind me of the damage I did

I'm currently bidding on a K7 600 rear shock as mine is knackered, and im a fairly hefty bloke (on a diet :( )

And am looking to have my carbs rebuilt with new O-rings etc if anyone can recommend such a person/place that would carry out the work?

Will keep this updated as it progresses

You really fried that sucker!
I always run a manual cam chain tensioner as its usually this that backs off then the motor is violently sick.
Best thing to do is get a set of o'rings from me, its easy to do them and when Skinny dog dosent buy the tyres from CMSMJ1 i can give him the money and put the tyres on my bike. ;)

How much for a set of O-rings?
I might just get Ian to do it while its there...
then he can set it all up too!
be lovely to be able to go for a ride without stopping every time it gets hot because it starts spluttering!

Also
Rear shocks..
Does anyone know which do fit and which don't
having a butchers on ebay at the moment, and plenty of K1-3 shocks, but I assume they're different?
Is it just a K7 that will fit?
