Now it wont start, must be flooded and the battery is dead too. lol

Aha.. I did say that they are a bit of a money pit :)
Once there up and running though it's not so bad.
When the carbs have been drained they are a RIGHT PAIN IN THE ARSE to get running again :/
I have some jump leads and attatch my car battery to the bike.
Tank on, Choke on full
NO THROTTLE AT ALL
5 second blast
wait 30 seconds
5 second blast
wait 30 seconds
5 second blast
wait 30 seconds.
since its a vaccumn tap it does take a while to get the fuel thru... if your not using any throttle ist should be ok.
If you think it's flooded best thing to do is NO CHOKE, FULL THROTTLE, CRANK IT FOR 10 seconds.
This will pull lots of air through the bike and help dry the plugs.
Leave it 5 mins and go back to the full choke as above.
Then sell it and get a ZXR400 instead

Yes, it is an IMMENSE pain in the arse. The only good thing about it so far is that you don't need to pull off the carbs to do the valve clearances. Other than that..... the good stuff is on a pretty short list.
I'll give it a start later on today. Should be running sweet as a nut now tbh, all problems sorted apart from a headlight bulb.
ZXR400 ? My next bike is a TL thou or an R1. Fuck this 400 lark.

TBF he was taking some proper liberties with some of those corners, im surprised nobody went round the outside of him at times, good riding though.

Look at the picture Mark posted at the top of the thread.. on the right-hand column it has the NC24 column.
It shows you what cylinders are firing at what degrees. :)
If your still having trouble I could take you some pictures of the cam positions relative to crank position :)
Would this still be possible? We keep getting a backfire rather than a running motor...
