YTX7 is the Standard Fitment on NC30, you can fit the YTX9 which is a slightly larger.. i think the YTX9 is actually 8ah vs 6ah for the YTX7.

Fitting a larger battery may help if you idle for long periods of time with the lights on (as the altenator wont' be charging the battery at idle)

But it shouldn't be a substitue for a knackered charging system.

Was this 25v when the bike was running? This indicated a busted reg/rec.

Fit a newer R6 reg/rec to the bike. This should solve most of your charging problems.

Be sure to test the altenator before you resign it to the scrap-heap.

Best place to get altenators from is Electrexworld.. (they have a website) i think it's part number G72 but there easy to find on the website.
