Changing or drilling the dog bone won't change the distance between the foot pegs and the seat. It will give you more ground clearence though. I have the same problem on my race bike. You could try using thicker seat foam and/or lowering/moving back the foot pegs using adapter brackets. Just don't lower them too much or you'll be dragging them on the ground. So a combination of these three things might do the trick.

Arn't the 30 pegs lower than the 24's? I find that the 24's drag too much in standard spec, ground most of mine away :/

Standard '30 pegs hit the deck pretty easily too - some riders still manage to race with them though
