Sorry bout this it appears they are standard length, 150mm eye to eye. photo is a little decieving looking at the tape.

I had a bit of a play the other day and i think the something like the sv dogbones should do, i havent got the shock fitted on yet as i need to get some spacers sorted for the top mount. There really isnt too much in it. Just as an amendment to my previous rough measuring the r6 shock is 290mm and the standard 300mm still only 10mm different.

Just thought i'd give an update. I've fitted the shock and used the sv dogbones to bring the rear up and everything is more or less exactly where it was. Now i know 'more or less' wont necessarily be to everyones taste but there must only be a few mm in it.

So just to recap what i did. I've shaved the corners of the bottom mount on the shock so it will clear the linkages. I used a few washers (10mm hole) to make up the difference in width between top mounts (5mm either side). When i get time i will make some proper spacers on my lathe, but for now they'll do. Then used second generation sv dogbones i bought on ebay for about a fiver to restore the ride height. Bobs your uncle. (In reality doing all this involved a lot of swearing!)

I know all this has been covered before but it might be useful to someone.
