Hi , just thought i would drop a post to tell of my experience. As it turned out ,my test meter was buggered and registering high voltage all the time, so the charging system was fine, (14.5 v at 5000 rpm, typical after i had just bought a new reg/rec! ) I suspected the plugs, so put in a new set after stripping the carbs again and hey presto she is purring like a pussy! Typical me, jumping to conclusions and i dont think i will change!
