Ok heres a question, my bike has original indicators usin bulbs fitted, but I have a ducati led rear light fitted.
I want to try using the built in indicators in the rear light, I take it I cant use a relay as the front ones will still be normal bulbs? would I have to be the resistors on the leads to the back light only??

An electronic flasher relay (as opposed to the load sensitive standard type) will have all indicators (std front and LED rear) flashing at the correct rate mate.

You might run into the dash indicator bulb issues I had above though. If you do have issues with this just follow the diagram for the wiring mod.

Putting resistors into the wiring is very dodgy (on an already suspect electrical system on NC's...), best to stay away from them I reckon.

Before buying a flasher relay it to suit instead of resistor blocks for the signals. But if the flasher relay stock cannot be used then change it with a LED. Check also the wiring connection.

Yeah, you are right before you buy a flasher relay to suit instead of resistor blocks for the signals. But if the flashers relay stock is can use if you change the bulb in the led well, don’t change it. Just check the wiring connection so it can prevent in some short circuit.

WTF?

Perhaps a clever spam bot?

But from the reply, it seems that he/she is trying to convey that sometimes a stock relay unit will work with LED indicators straight off so there is no need to replace it?

Hi, i know this is an old thread but i have only just found it and read the content.. wish i had searched for more info on installing LED indicators to the nc30 sooner?
Recently i hit the Buy it now button and bought a full set of LED indicators and a Honda flasher to suit LEDs, i belived this would be all that was needed, haha its never that simple is it..? After installing these parts, the best i could get them to do was all 4 flashing simultainiously (hazzard light style) :?
Pulled me hair and scratched me chin a few times and then gave up..
I knew the quickest way to solve this issue was make a brew and get out the laptop,, 400Greybiked it!
TA DAHH, Found this thread, and apparently im missing some Diodes.. (as i want to keep dash light)
Thanks to Cammo for the thread and diagrams posted previously.. will be very helpfull to me in correcting this issue. i had mini carbon fibre style indicators, i once thought they looked good   how wrong was i? also they were not as bright/visable as they need to be IMO, although MOT worthy. the one the i can say is that the LEDs are far brighter than the ones i have just removed.. So to me this is worth the little extra hassel.

:rocks: ive also just bought another nc30 off my brother inlaw, G reg, few months tax and mot. just a little scruffy at mo and in need of a reg/rec.. comes with lots of spares. for £400 notes i couldnt say no, another winter project i think.. im unsure how far to go with it. as ive got £4000+ in my other j plate nc30. 3 years to finish and fund that project, deffo wont be taking that route again.. I will get some pics posted of the 1 of the brother in law, let me know what you guys think i should with it, i know ile have to spend money to make money!!!!
