Slightly off topic, but Alex were you and your VFR featured in Visors Down mag (think it was) recently? Someone shoved a 400grey feature under my face and thought I recognised the name.
I was indeed.

I don't think they're out mate, my cdi is set at 14,500 and it hits the limiter at an indicated 14,500. My dyno print outs show this also.

i like mine set to 15,500 but even set @ that, i want more rpm - im too used to 2 strokes.
but as i say, i get no problems @ all.
ive had a few standard 14,500 nc30's & they're rubbish, i have personally found that the extra bit makes a huge difference & im talking about getting off of 1 bike & getting straight on another.
i had 3 nc30's all with slightly different set ups & my 15,500rpm was the best of the bunch & the best of my lots bunch as well.
it'll be off to pdq1 in taplow, berks, in a month or so, so i guess i'll see what kind of power im running then.

I usually ride to the standard limiter on the track, but did hit 15,500 sometimes when needed which was useful (hrc cdi).
I wouldn't mess with the standard limit on a road bike.

no, i didnt set it @ 15,500 as such, thats how it is.
i spent a whole load of money on the bike on carbs, exhaust, etc, etc & after all the bits & pieces were done, the new rev limit was 15,500rpm.
i think its mainly because i fitted the UK spec speedo to the bike but that along with everythng else makes it work a treat.
in the near future i will be getting a RO cdi & will have the limit raised again to 16,000rpm - just because its there doesnt mean you have to use it (but i know i will) ha, ha!

Am sure the G Force crew measured them and found it out by 1k - i.e indicated 15.5 was really 14.5
