You want to drill the end of the dogbone that is nearest the rear of the bike. All NC30/35s (? at least the ones I've had) have that extra hole where the dogbone mounts to, which won't do the trick - it's not designed for it. I'd put a pic up, but I've welded the old hole up (not really required depending on the distance you drill at). I said before that 12 mm is the max you can go. I did 9 mm from memory = about 30 mm ride height gain and it's pretty close to hitting an aftermarket exhaust at rest. Keeping in mind that you can also drop (raise) the forks. My race bike runs about 6 mm above the yokes with the rear dogbone modded as above.
