Hmm ive had a look and cant see where the heat shield fits onto so you could be right, all ive to go off is old photos of when the bike was in bits as of now with the tank and fairing on i cant make out where it fits or see any of it sorry.
As far as the rad yes it does hook onto little brackets like these in the photo just above the speedo cable

got the rubber sorted out last night, it hooks onto the top of the fan bracket,not so easy when the fan is on the bench but alot more straight forword when you fit the fan to the rad !

just a few bits of wiring to do and i "think" it's sorted ......i hope they don't come back to haunt me !

ok guys , i feel like i'm getting somewhere with this but still little things are holding me back.

on the front left of the bike i have the loom and it's pretty much just hangin there, the connectors for the ignition and kill switch are cable tied to the meter stay and connect into the loom over by the left fork tube, this all looks a little messy to me and maybe i'm just being an arse here but surely thats to meant to be a messy.

has anyone any pictures of the loom and it's route around the bike,where it's meant to be attached to brackets etc and where the likes of the ignition/kills switch/switch gear all connect into the loom.

What you are saying about it looking untidy, I'm having the same issue now that I have my race bodywork. It's floating around there at the moment looking very unsightly.

I don't want to keep reattaching that bracket each time. The less amount of things I have to disconnect or undo etc each time i swap my road and race bodywork over the better. Also the fuse box isn't much nicer is it?

my mate called up last night and we bit some work to the snapped bolts in the frame,so now i just need to finish off a bit of rewiring, find a route for the loom, fit a few more parts and maybe i'll get a run up the road on it .....fingerscrossed.
