They are very good, can you still get different liquids for different metals?

All I use is detergent concetrate,something like multi surface cleaner.Dilute it to about 20%.Mine is a proper lab one,bought it from Ebay for £50.There are cheap ones about for around that new.I was doing singles and two strokes so a carb on its own goes straight in.Put it in something like a styrofoam cup,or pot noodle container thats completley immersed in the luiquid.It still works fine,but doesnt frett against the side of the machine.I have read on engineering forums of people using different mediums,but as long as it isnt acid or alkaline you should be ok.

i have drilled the sliders, 1mm washers and made a custom snorkel i will start her up and take her for a spin but its 1 in the morning here so ill have to wait till the afternoon. i will have to look in to different carb cleaners because unfortunately i dont have acces to a ultrasonic cleaner....

Worth keeping an eye out for one.They use them for all sorts of things.Tattoo instuments etc.I put a carb that 2 other previous owners had given up on in mine.After all sorts of carb cleaners etc there was a spoonfull of crud in the bottom of the tub.Bike started and ran fine after that.

well my mum is a dental nurse so maybe i might get my hands on 1 but i doubt it...do i need to strip the carbs at all or do i just take them of fill the container with carb cleaner turn it on and walk away?

Strip em right out,put the bodies,and anything with bores,holes etc you cant get into in the tub with some detergent concetrate like flash or that sort of thing diluted to about 10 or 20 percent.Switch on and leave as long as you like,as long as the parts arent touching.Its the buzz that shifts it,the chemical helps to break it down quicker.Think the patients might notice if you put it in with their dentures though.

hahaha true they might get a funny taste in there mouth....ill have to see if they have a spare that i can borrow...what are other options of cleaning if i cant get my hands on 1

ok well all im going to do is remove the float bowls give it all a good scrup using carb cleaner, remove inspect and clean the jets and re assemble, ill spray the rest with carb cleaner and do my best until i come across a ultrasonic cleaner...does that sound ok to do?

Yes that will probably do it anyway,if you can force the carb cleaner through the opposite way to the normall route.If anything is backed up in there it will come out easier.dont ask me which way that is,I what I know about V4 carbs you could write on the back of a stamp.Changed jets but thats about it.
