my thoughts exactly.

what ever happened to PB wanting one for their 100 best bikes? one of mine was offered but after initially making a date (ooer!) it all went quiet.

Lovely shades you have there mate - they'd match my eyes this morning.
That was me who wanted one for PB. However, priorities (and the Editor) changed and I never got the chance in the end. Then the winter came............

I plan to have another go at getting it done in the spring, gonna speak with the new Editor about it this weekend, we'll see what happens I suppose.

fair enough phil! :)

if you do need a standard one, give me a shout - you're more than welcome to either/both of mine. (if it warms up enough to venture out, I may even get a chance to start them up.......)

p.s. tell your editor I think the mix of older bikes and new models and odd technical article of late is a winner - i am now a regular buyer after years of avoiding it. I appreciated the two stroke piece the other month, but then I am somewhat biased about strokers.....

regards

Jon

Thanks for the offer, may well need to take you up on it nearer the time. If you've 2 bikes, I'll prob be able to arrange it for you to come out on the other and get a few action pics for your own use.

I'll pass on your comments to Matt when I see him on Sunday. It's always nice to be able to pass on a bit of positive feedback.

I fully agree with the above. Finally a bike mag that's relevant about older modern stuff that I could actually bring myself to shell out for.

bout time pb had another FRENZY!!!! remember them?they used to invite readers to bruntingthorpe and let them speed test and genrally act like loonies-go on on do it,im sick of this pollitically correct, health and safety nanny state lets have some anarchy!!if you dont beleive me go and read the pb lc frenzy from the mid 80s and see what happens when you put 30 or so trainer wearing, paddock jacketed stroker jockies on a large runway, and the oulton-carnage- or the cadwell frenzy when they set light to the burger van/beer tent coz the beer ran out.sorry biking was so much better when i were a lad!!!!! i still subscribe to pb but it cant hold a candle to the rupert paul/jhon robinson/mark forsyth and the others that were at the helm at that time-biking has become so image concious and corporate-i preffered when they didnt let you in certain pubs cuz you were wearing a leather jacket or carrying a lid,its lost all its subversivness and become mainstream.i bet i get a right flaming for that!!!!!!
pb was like the bible of biking madness!!!!

truth of the matter is, kids just don't ride bikes these days.

well, not like us old gimmers used too - they graduate from scooters to Saxo's and the like, and to be honest, I can't blame 'em.
Bikes aren't exactly a cheap form of transport, and what with all the licence hassles/insurance/nannying who can blame them.

I'd blame them for buying a saxo though.
