I've seen this argument of car oil in bikes many times before. I say use whatever you choose.
Car oil might work, but what are you basing your assumptions on? That it runs? That it hasn't blown up yet? That it's not making any strange noises? That the clutch works fine? that you've heard it on the internet....etc..... Like I said, it's a choice we all can make.
Personally I would never use anything but a good quality moto oil in my bikes. Chalk and cheese really. Frequent changing of good quality oil is the major way you can extend engine life in my opinion.
Back on topic: The price of your trackdays are very cheap Lope, I doubt you will need to spend much more on maintenance items (than normal) if you just do the odd track day here and there.
