aye thats them. the VFR listed is the same in the bodge link.
Headlight shims. well worth getting if you can, they straighten the bulb in the socket as to being cock eyed.

So L.P i am definately not going to need the relay modification if i use the HID kit, am i right in saying that or would i be better doing the relay mod just as a precaution in case the worse were to happen?

You wont need a dip relay with the HID as its only 35watts which is the same as standard current drain and you could if you really wanted to remove the main beam relay.

UK spec NC30 takes the 55/60 proper H4 but I don't know if its a straight swap to the 29 or 23.

after looking at the pictures of your mod in more detail it doesn't look too bad.... Do you need a seperate ballast for each bulb (so your paying double the price) or is it two bulbs to a ballast?

Not a recommendation but this seems ideal. I just ordered one (6000k,superslim 2 bulbs & 2 Ballasts), good price, free postage and in England, will let you know how I get on. hopes it works

1 bulb = 1 ballast. you cant power 2 bulbs from 1 ballast.

i have the relay mod left in place as before i fitted HIDs, i had 2X 80/100W bulbs!
you dont need the relay mod if you are fitting HIDs.

remember people, if you or any of your m8s have Official UK spec bikes. a normal H4 bulb will fit with no mods.
any Grey Import bike has "odd" H4 type that mods have to be done to the bulb to fit! end of chat on that subject.

Ok a quick update. Well they came this morning and I eagerly opened the parcel, it was as expected but the bulbs were not in any special plastic container and were just lying in a recess in the the box, not good I think. Now then something I never thought of until after I bought them, I have lights I cant turn off, now reading around I find that its expected that you start the bike/car then turn the lights on, so laughably I may not be able to use my impulse purchase, will have to see about that, maybe LP can tell me if she can start her bike with the light on?

Secondly and more important to you peeps with money ready to buy, you will find that although the wiring harness is quite long (in the wrong places) the wires that go to the battery will never reach the battery, I have had the harness laid out and pondered over it but I cant see a way to do it. Looking around for longer wires to bodge and attach seems the only option for me, so be aware of this if buying. Instructions are under the plastic insert but not much help, in badly interpreted English.

I have a while to think it over as Im waiting for those lamp shims from Canada (actually, Budapest, Hungary??) but If it dont work Im sure I can get my money back by selling the kit to a boy racer somewhere.

EDIT: I may have found a solution for those with always on lights like myself. Its a time delay relay.

here is a picture to show the problem of short wires. Basicly everything from the red fuse box (bottom left) will have to be forward of the steering, so that means the 8" positive wire coming out of the fuse box aint going to reach the battery, this also aplies to the two black wires for the battery, pictured mid top. Sorry the text is small in the picture, it looked ok when I added it.




Edit once again for more info, Headlight shims came today, very good delivery, ordered on the 5th arrived on the 7th from Hungary. Just waiting for time delay relay now.
