The early model seat had to be cut or you had to have girlie fingers to reach it, the new seat design you can get to the tap quite easily

There's your answer there. Mine was a Gen-1 seat and needed cutting.

cheers fella's will have a look when i get home. i am going to have to cut it one way or another. am on holiday from monday for a week so that will slow progress down again. but i will get there i promise.

The help recieved on here from everyone has been brilliant, i know what i am doing is not to everyones taste, but alot of credit has to go to everyone on here who has helped me on way or another.
