yeah the bellypan does look shit! i dont want to change the look i just want it to look nice!! the bellypan has two nasty cracks on the left side lug. And as cmsmj1 said they dont line up and now that the tank has to be repaired and sprayed i thought i might change it!! But mechanically it has to run correctly first! Ive invested in chain, sprockets, yamamoto half system blueflame end can and now braided brake lines, but im toying with buying vipers shock and Micpecs brembo set!!

you know what, to fix the paint scheme it only needs the mids and lowers painting properly and lining up. seat you will struggle to get right with the pillion seat. scrap the seat and rear pegs and put a cover on it and get that painted in the RC scheme to match.
also the RC lowers, the paint bends so your lowers could simply have a bit more red added.
have a look at the pic on my RC to see what i mean. still on the ducati forum, also here in members rides.
lovely paint scheme. make sure the motors right, and you will have something thats great fun to ride, not going to scare you to death, and more importantly for me - something a bit different from the herd.

Ive just been de-greasing my bike and noticed that on the back of the engine block underneath the swingingarm there is some white lettering saying GD5 looks like white paint Is that normal?

Also where the linkage attaches to the frame there are right angle polished pieces of metal mine has the letters S10 stamped into the metal, is that normal? Also the welds look a bit shoddy!! It all looks a bit Heath Robinson if you ask me!!

There production codes, all honda engines have them. There written on during assembly stages to ensure that the relevant parts are matched up at the factory.

The great thing about NC30's is parts are easily available and can be cheap. Keep an eye on ebay and buy bargains to fix up yours. I have managed to get a good shock, brakes, even body parts for very little money just a bit of buying and selling. Buy a cheap donor bike with good bits on it then put your old bits on that and sell it on etc

Also, get the bike reliable mechanically then worry about looks. Its nice to know people think your bike is neat but much nicer to know your going to make it home from your ride! Good luck.
