I want to know, which tyres are available for NC24?? I heard for BT45 and BT39 from bridgestone, but my friend said that they are not very good tyres.

I had on my NC24 dunlop arrowmax diagonal tyres, but dont remember which mark they were. They were suprisingly good.
I dont know if they are in production today ??

Do there exist other tyres from dunlop, michelin, continental and bridgestone, which I didnt hear for ??
I am very interested for this topic ?? Please, answer me.

They are not very good for what? and they are not very good compared to what?

Why not just replace the tyres with the same make if you are happy with them :)

I had Bridgestone BT45 s on my nc21 and my nc24 and thought the bike handled very well on them on road and track and they lasted a reasonable number of miles.Unless you are a national level roadracer who intends using it on track a lot then the Bridgestones will be more than good enough

Unless you wanna do a wet trackday, then there not that great.

Mind you after saying that, I did lap my old-man in the wet around a big island on the A5 (he's sensible)

I seem to recall him using the phrase 'f'in nutter, your gonna come off one day'

Is it possible to put RVF400 wheels (both 17") on NC24? Do they fit into NC24 chassis front and rear (bolts?) ?

I can get metzeler lasertech tyres for NC24, but they are not enough good for racetrack.

We have a speedway Grobnik (in year 90 there was 500gp world championship) in neighbour country, but it has a very heavy tarmac, too heavy even for tyres like dunlop qualifier, it is better to have dunlop 209gp or sinilar slicks.
My race mates said, that normal road tyre is dangerous for this track, because it overheats soon.

Thank you!

I realised from pictures that NC35 rear wheel do not fit to NC24, because it is not attached with bolts.

But the vfr 750 RC36 has the same rear wheel (with bolts), and it is 17inch. Are distances between bolts suitable
for NC24? What about front wheel? Does it fit to NC24?

The RC36 has very standard wheels and lots of tires are available. So that is why i asked.

Thanks!

Nope it'a not a straightforward fit.

Almost Anything can be made to fit if you have time and money.

It's an old bike and has old tyre.. I wouldn't worry too much about over-heating your tyres, your on a 20something year old 400.. there probably on newer and more powerful bikes.

My recommendation is to try some tires that you can get and see what you do think.

If you are serious about doing some track days you can fit a 140/60/18 BT92 Sports Milage tyre which is better than a BT45 and more easily available than a BT39.

Don't take other peoples words for it though, try tyres yourself and see how you get on! BT45's and 39's might not be as good as new Super Corsa's but there designed for the bike so see how you get on :)

Sorry to drag this up from the dead but Neo how did you get on with your 140 BT092 on the rear? Did you use a BT45 front and how did it perform on the track? Cheers, HB

I put bt39s on it in the end in the correct size.
