swapped the cdi and fuel pump relay with another one still the same wot i did notice was that the plug going into the relay has 2 wires cut on it why???

also the pump is defo pumping and the carbs are getting fuel tryed starting the bike but didnt start think this could be, because ther is 2 much fuel getting threw and floodin its self it did sound like it wanted 2 start.

think i could have a poss answer 2 why the pump isnt going off where the fuel hose gose into the carbs the little brown coloured pipe that the hose gose onto seems 2 be leaking so wot i was thinking is this tell the system that the carbs arnt filled with fuel hence why it keeps on going?

anyone agree lol???

oh also have had the bike started it dosnt rev the best maby because of 2 much fuel with the pump going constant?

il probley just whack my other set of carbs on as they seem 2 be fine.also dont think this was the problem put the fuel line onto the other set of carbs and the pump still didnt stop.

surely it couldnt be anything majour thers 2 wires out of the fuel pump into the loom then that will go up 2 tell the cdi/relay 2 cut the pump after so many seconds so in theory ther seems 2 be some sort of brake along the line?

think im sorted the guy that had the bike before me or how ever done the loom had joint 1 of the wires that go into the relay into the red one that also gose into the relay put the the wire back out on its own and the pump now comes on for a bit then gose off.

question tho, when the bike is started dose/ is the pump ment 2 run or wot way dose it work? putting the wireing this way i dont no if the pump will power once the bike is started will find out tho once i get it properly running and see if it takes over or dies out with lack of fuel

The pump runs for set period on time after the ignition is turned on then cuts out. If you flick the kill switch it will go through another cycle until the fuel presure reaches a set amount.
If the engine runs then the pressure drops and the pump cuts in again.

I had a set of leaky float seals and the pump would get to the pressure (after 3 cycles) then the bike would start and run. The idle was erratic though sometimes it would sometimes it wouldn't ... So make sure the system is sealed properly.
