My first V4 experience came this time last year

I sat my peachy buttocks on the bikes saddle and wrung its little neck, the howl which emmited from the exhaust even made a little bit of wee come out.

I haven't ridden another bike since then come to think of it...Not even sure if i want to?

Mine was this year, I was looking for a good second bike after not having one for nearly 2 years, Saw the single swing arm thought "om nom wouldnt mind a bit of that!" but was looking at other bikes, on ebay up popped a restriction kit for a vfr (I still have a month left) and my mind was mind up! went out and bought one, fits me lovely and when I get the restrictors out will be even nicer to ride :D

first time i was ever on a v4 was 2 years ago when i took a test ride on a race bike i was going to buy.
we took the bike to our secret testing ground (quiet irish back road) and i took her up and down a few times.
i got a bit carried away and nearly put myself and the bike (that i had not yet bought) through a hedge.

needless to say i too was hooked and did not hesitate to buy the rvf

the rvf is currently parked up in the shed while i recover from putting a different bike "through a hedge" so to speak.

My first V4 experience was my current bike. It's my first proper bike after riding around on a Honda CG125 for a year.
First time i rode it was during the testride. Had already fallen in love with the looks when i saw it and it was a done deal after about 100 yards

Night falling. A darkened side road in the shadow of the flats. Storm was trying to push in as night decscended. Had been waiting all day for delivery, had to be soon, the air was heavy, not long before those grey demons opened. The van arrived and there she was. Dropped her onto the flat, a racehorse she looked, well bred. Started her up.

Sounded like a bag of spanners.

Must be a choke issue he said, sorry can't tell in the dark, and he was gone.

What have I done? Coax her home, smoke billowing, heart empty. Fitfull sleep and up at first light.

So as you can guess, not the greatest way to pop the V4 cherry. Took half an hour to find the choke lever, spent most of it looking round the yoke, and being the the div that I am, needed the Haynes manual to find it! Was fully open, shut it back, started her up and there she was, no longer the mule but the exciteable pony I expected.

She was alive and screaming, take me, open me up. Quick spin, she was everything I could have wanted, tame in the traffic, a whore on the open road.

We spent two years together, now she is gone. The fuckers burnt her alive.

Will the insurance pay for the C Spanner I had rammed in her rear?
