Hi, i got a 014 on the front and a 092 on the back, they seem fine to me, tho i generelly wobble round corners!!!!!!!

090's front and rear!
Just had the rear replaced maybe 2-3k ago... love em as I'm still a newbie they give so much confidence, but in hot conditions, tyre is sooo sticky and soft, you can rub it away.
... riding to work has never been so expensive!
£120 for a rear + fitting
(Danzio - you jammy git, both for £140 ? )

Anyone got any suggestions for the next one ... 092 sounds good, but will I be able to continue learning without ending up in a hedge (or worse)?

Should be riding to work less ... but then I always say that... cant get off the bl**dy thing!

My NC30 is my first 'Real' Bike after riding 125's and I fitted the BT92's Almost instantly after buying the bike. So you could say i am learning on the tyres and I have no problems whatsoever. like I said. They really inspire confidence and I have never even come close to having an accident. the tyres have felt planted and secure almost constantly. A greta tyre for learners i would say.

sounds like they're more for everyday riding and poor conditions?
is there a compromise tire out there? I'm thinking of multi-compound stuff.
medium to soft, center to shoulder. durability for everyday, and extra grip and stability for scratching round?

BT92 is a good tyre but you kill them on track. They are plenty grippy enough for the roads and will last loads longer than an 090

i fitted a BT92 to the rear when i got my NC30 and it had some dunlop on the front

when you started to lean a little too much you could just begin to feel the back slipping which was fine...

after wearing through the front i got a BT92 for that and as soon as you started to lean you could instantly feel the front washing out which was unbelievably off putting

i though after a fair few miles things would improve but they didnt and after wearing through the rear (1 year it lasted) i changed both tyres to BT90's

after scrubbing in the tyres the difference in the two was like night and day they were unbelievably good and i have not been able to get them anywhere near the feeling that they are slipping

although i dont know how long they last i would never get BT92's again even if i had to change the BT90's much more often


and they cost the same.....work that one out
