That's the one that jumps out of second gear (I think) ... of course it's an easy fix and the part needed is cheap. It's just the complete strip and rebuild that costs the dosh ..

Hi , i am the one on the pb forum that has just fitted a 6. I used a fzr 600r foxeye engine which cost £62 from ebay. I would recommend getting a damaged bike as a doner as i had a real headache with the electrics. The 400 ecu wont run the engine. I had to graft the 600 ecu into the 400 loom, but i still have unresolved problems with it as the rev counter jumps up to 8500 every 10 seconds or so. I'm going to fit the loom and electrics of the 600r next. It would have been a much simpler project with a doner to swap every thing across from.
But on the plus side the bike flies, handles sweet and the full bike currently only stands me at £901(which includes the postage of all the parts). I gave it a shakedown at the pb trackday at cadwell (i met evilchicken) and the only probs were a slipping clutch and wrong gearing.
I recommend anyone to do this conversion!
