Trying to locate NC29 starter cover & engine casing
Unfortunately I am going to be in the market for some parts for my NC29 after my crash earlier this month
I have been scouring the web to see how many of the parts I need I can match to other US bikes. So far I'm lucking out with a lot of them, but I'm coming up short on the engine casing and starter cover. The weird thing is the gaskets look to be off of some US bike (I think it is an 89 CBR600F) but I can't tell if the actual starter cover and engine casing will match. Does anyone know for sure??

I'm 100% sure that left engine case can be use from NC23, CB400SF and CB-1. The clutch cover also can be fit from CB-1, but not sure about sensors.

Re: Trying to locate NC29 starter cover & engine casing
Nice...thanks so much for the info.
I think I might have my terminology wrong so bear with me for a moment...I actually need the covers from both the left and right sides. I thought the left side (smaller) was the starter (or possibly the clutch) cover and the right side was one engine cover with two circular pieces (since the gasket is just one piece). Am I totally wrong??

Re: Trying to locate NC29 starter cover & engine casing
Hi yes the left side is the starter cover and the right is known as the clutch cover even though it's on the engine.
The starter one is p/no 11631-mv4-000 and will be fitted to any 400 Honda with this engine.
The other is p/no. 11330-mv4-010 same as above fitment ie the numbers do not cross-reference to any other (bigger/smaller) engine in the Honda range.
Both items are available from here-

Re: Trying to locate NC29 starter cover & engine casing
Thanks for the details. I researched the CB1 here in the states and it looks like it was only sold here for a year or two. Luckily my friend knows of one so I can measure to confirm. Also saw one on ebay uk but know the shipping will prolly be nasty. Wull wait & see what I can find here. Thanks again...

Might be worth dropping him a mail to see if he has the other one.
