Race Bike Sprockets
A question for any NC30 racers out there. What different size sprockets do you guys keep in your kit? Which sprocket sizes do you use most often? I'm looking at buying a selection of sprockets for my bike and just need a starting point. Thanks.

Re: Race Bike Sprockets
I keep a 14 and 15 front, 40, 41, 42, 43 rears.
If you ride like a demon on a ball tearing bike you might even need a 16t front for Phillip Island.

Re: Race Bike Sprockets
Thanks Stickshift. The bike currently has a 15 front and a 44 rear. I'm doing a practice day at Wakefield Park on Friday and 15/44 will be ok. I'll buy a 14 and all the rears you mentioned to keep in my kit for other tracks. Don't think I'll require a 16 front, I'm not demonic just yet but I'd like to be!!!

Re: Race Bike Sprockets
If you have a 44, you could probably get away with just getting a 14t, and 40, 42 rear.
I use a very simple excel file to work out what gearing combos are similar, PM me with your email addy mate and I'll send it through to you when I'm next at work. Offer obviously stands for anyone else wanting it also!

Re: Race Bike Sprockets
I've got 14t and 15t fronts along with 40t and 42t rears, and tbh on my relatively stock, 60bhp, vfr I ran the 14-42 combo everywhere, It was close on a couple of tracks but did the job.
But then I'm slow, if/when I get quicker I will probably need to alter something on at least 1 track...
