Led rear light

Post by graham72 »

Has anyone fitted LED lights to the rear of their NC30 as a replacement for the rear lights?
Seen a few ads for those led bulbs you can put in instead of normal bulbs, but I quite fancy doing something bespoke! Maybe trying to get some clear rear lights made up and then new LED clusters with maybe the indicators as part of the rear light, What do you think, good idea, naff idea, go back to bed type idea?

i like the idea of led rear lights , im suprised no after market co. has made a set of direct replacments yet would be nice to pull the whole light assembly out and swap it over for a nice new led type , hmmm

Im guessing they think the bikes are to old now and not enough of them around to make it worth their while, I think its a great idea for looks and also for safetys sake, anything that makes you more visible can only be a good thing.

Has anyone got an old knackered rear light unit lying around that I could cannabalise to experiment with???

At £70 it's quite and expensive experiment if it goes pear shaped though? I would be personally looking at a cagiva mito clear lense and take things from there....

The mito looks like a possibility too, thinking I might just try and get second hand normal sp1 rear light, play with that, if i can fit it then get the LED one.
Just mailed the ebay bloke to see if he can measure the square bits on the light and take it from there!
