5" rear wheel fitment
Does anyone know what larger rear wheel goes into an NC29? I am looking for a wider rim ie 5" rather than the standard 4.5" so I can run 160 tyres properly on the track.

CBR600 wheel can be made to fit. Plus it looks the same as the NC29 wheels.
A bit of machine work and some custom spacers and it can be made to fit.
You'll have to run the CBR600 cush drive and sprocket too.

dont know if your looking for full wide look but i run a 160 on my standard rims anyway, this was the size on it when i bought and knew nothing of the cbr 400 culture (have since found that it should be 150) but my last three tyres ive stuck with 160

I also run a 160/60 rear on the standard 4.5j rim.
I personally cant tell the difference between a 4.5 and a 5j rim, But ive heard running a 160 on a 4.5j rim can distort the very edge of each side of the tyre, So when at maximum lean it can be a little sketchy.
In fairness I have various parts of the bike touching down before I run out of tyre anyway, So its not a problem. Ive just stuck with 160s because its the size racers use on the NC29 track bikes, so cheap tyres, Plus they look better than the 150s.
