NC 30 ONLY RUNNING ON 2 FRONT CYLINDERS

Post by DAVEB »

Hi am after some info, my NC30 is only running on the 2 front cylinders, have had the carbs off and ckecked all jets for blockages, they were clean. Have replaced the 2 rear cylinders plugs, did not cure the problem, have swaped the 2 coil packs around from front to back and still runs on the front cylinders, there is no spark on the rear cylinders at all, is not ht leads either so basicly am out of options, any info on this problem would be grately received .

Righty..

CDI is the brains that tell the bike to fire the plugs - called the ECU too..

Have you tried a working front plug in a rear lead? The plugs on these bikes can die a death very easily...

Where you at? Might be someone local could lend oyu a CDI to test it?

Have located the CDI at the rear of the bike, any ideas how much these cost, if this is the problem would it still allow the front cylinders to fire?

you'll want to speak to Aly - aka abrmoto on here.

He is selling a lot of NC gear and is local to you - Am sure he can sort a CDI out and sell it to you if you needed it

I've a standard NC30 CDI here that I can confirm is 100% working as I only took it out of my bike a few months ago after fitting a programmable one with an HRC ignition on it.
