sparkplug cap resistor

Post by buzzawak »

I have a burnt sparkplug cap resistor (10k Ohms). Can you buy these resistors seperataly or do I have to replace the whole cap assembly?

Also I do not seem to have a main fuse. I have the 4 fuses in the fuse black but no main 30amp fuse. have checked the whole loom. Cound someone provide a picture for the main fuse location?

Thanks
Michael

main fuse is on the solenoid
Yes you need a new cap cut about 5mm of the old wire and then screw the new cap onto it

Silly me, I didnt think aftermarket caps, Was quoted $66.00 australian each from Yamaha. Anyway I have picked up from a local wrecker a spark plug cap from a fzr250 which has the same resistor. $2.50. Will stick it in tonight, fingers crossed.

Just looking at the NGK catalogue for matching resistor caps.
NGK don't seem to make a straight resistor cap in the 10k ohms.
What are people using ?
