Temp Sensor Sender

Post by davepm13 »

Hi all,

Just a quick one. I'v acquired a new temp sensor sender. If I swap my old one out for this is there anything to be aware of? i.e. Will it chuck the contents of my cooling system all over the floor?

Cheers.

Dave.

It probably might do. The temp sender is in direct contact with coolant.

However, Since the systems pressurised the vaccumn may hold the water in when you unscrew the temp sender.

But be prepared for coolant loss if your not going to drain the coolant first!

The fan switch on the rad usually causes coolant to come out but the temp senders much smaller, give it a go :D

Drain the coolant if you wish to be safe! either way it's not a huge job :)
