Great info mate but the engine's going in a classic micro sports car with period clocks. I want to lose the clocks altogether.

you can use an m max box and loose the clocks for this has been done on my fzr400 race bikes wihich are fitted with r6 clocks.

What type of resistor is needed for the derestriction? anyone tried this before? :grin:

The eaisest way on a bike is to fit a KMH to MPH mechanical converter box. You need a gold one which plugs in the bottom of the speedo cable by the wheel
