fitting of ebay speedo dials in mph

Post by andi »

for those of you that dont browse the v4 section here is the fitting guide for your speedo converters....

there apears no difference between the vfr400 and cbr400 clocks. i have updated the fitting guide with pics of both to show.

i think i wont as i know the VFR and CBR speedo dials are slightly different in the speed increments.
the VFRs speed bars/numbers starts later than the CBRs when you compare the 2 together.
+ i already have a set of custom WHITE dials and i dont sell the templates. they are free for anyone who wants them.... just ask.

LP's templates are top dollar and free, if you can use the ai format you can customise them how you want. I have a CBR Aero and the temp d.ail is slightly different, so I'm re-doing to suit, speedo looks the same and rev's need a small tweek. I think I'll keep the white dials as they look pretty smart, on an old banger of a bike, well at least its all paid for and mine!

if i had the time and money. i'd buy original sets of dials and scan them in/create templates.
i only managed to do the NC29s as i had the dials out at the time to scan them in. the VFR i had i didnt need to dig in to the clocks so i didnt get them scanned in.

bless.. i dont make them, simply not enough money in doing that + nagging customers who just do not understand how designs work = too much agro for what its worth, i take the easy route......i email you the template in various formats, you print them off on card, then get the card laminated, cut the dials out carefully with a scalpel and fit them to your bike.
leopard_pagan@yahoo.com is my email. drop me an email and i'll send* you the templates.

*i always use subject lines reflecting whats in the email.....
