RVF Trackday Tyres
Hi everyone,
Nearing completion of my track only RVF, and would appreciate some advice on track tyres.
I have been told that Pirelli Dragon supercorse Pro's are the ones to go for in 120/60/17 and 160/60/17 sizes would be the way to go?
Just wondered if anyone had experience of this tyre in the sizes i've mentioned, as i've also heard it said that a 70 profile front would benefit front end grip?
Many thanks.

We like BT090's on the 400[1]
I also asked the tyre place which they recommended 120/60 or a 120/70 (for my SV admittedly) and they recommended the 70 for track use.
Druid
[1] And D209 Qualifier RR's on the SV700

Diablo supercorsa part worns from a 400 or sv racer ftw, their amazing and you'll still get a good 3k of awesome road miles or at least 5 trackdays
get them from a front runner in either series cos they will use a new set for everymeeting so wont have had much wear on them and £50 for a set is alot better than £250 and unless ur really pushing them you wont notice the difference
O 120/70/17 and 160/60/17 are the profiles you want although 70 front may cut into your v piece under hard breaking if you've got stock bodywork

I like BT090's, not a world away from the grip that the bridgestone slicks I was using had (in warm to hot weather).
Yet to try Dunlop Alphas, but heard great things about them on 400's.
Both of these tyres are cheaper by a fair bit than the pirellis.

Re: RVF Trackday Tyres
i used bridgstone BT003 they where great in 120 front and 150 rear having the 150 rear help the bike alot in the corners the grip is amazing but when they are very hot they tend to slide a bit but i used them in the south of fance it was like 35 degrees outside so i dont think you will have that problem in the UK

Re: RVF Trackday Tyres
I run 090 they are great, got a new rear and the gentleman i got it off showed my some bridgestones that the supermoto guys use on the track, can't remember designation. They looked like slicks with only a few groves, not road legal but somewhere between 090s and slicks, if its track only you might want to figure out what these were...
