FZR400 Handelbar question
Hi all
I recently bought a FZR400 (being my first bike so this is all new to me) and I wanted to ask for any tips in relation to raising the handlebars. I have searched the forum and have scoured the internet but have come up empty handed.
I can only find kits that fit the FZR600 and FZR1000 and both of them are not suitable for the FZR400. Is there anything out there which will work or will I need to get some thing custom made?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Re: FZR400 Handelbar question
Have a look at the sticky threads in FZR forums and go to either Madsi or Rampant Racing's websites and ID the model of FZR400
However have a look at Heli bars - they might fit

Re: FZR400 Handelbar question
Hi Evilchicken - thanks for the reply and guidance.
My bike is a FZR400RR EXUP 3TJ1 (1989).
I already checked Heli bars which looked promising but none of their standard products will do the trick. I have sent them an e-mail for some advice.
I will keep up the search.

Re: FZR400 Handelbar question
The thing to watch out for with Yams is the fairing actually fits relatively tight to the bars and controls on full lock.
You could try NK Racing - they make different bits for bikes and could possibly make some special clip-ons for you .... or a different top yoke with the clip-ons combined.
The last on is a bit more convetuled .... R6 front end (forks and wheel brakes etc) which should bolt striaght onto the bike. The forks are longer than the 3TJ so you could mount the clip-ons above the top yoke
