front brake calipers. also exspected top speed..?
If anybody knows it'll be someone on here....(usually Mr Evil)
Is there any 2 or 3 pot front calipers to fit the 83mm centre to centre mounting holes on my bike or do i just have to put up with the single pots...
Also was wondering what top speed should I be exspecting from my bike as it tops out just under 130mph and was wondering has it lost much over the years..?
cheers all Q.

83m centres ... well 3TJ are 4 pot calipers and have that bolt spacing.
Try the set up my TJ uses standard calipers, EBC HH pads, braided lines and a brembo cast radial master cyl ... it stops very well.
If you still want to change calipers but want a stiffer caliper try NK Racing they do brackets to convert Yamaha Blue Spots.
About 130mph is right, it's only a 400 remember

There's a couple that might fit on e-bay at the moment - measure yours and check they'll fit. Remeber I don't know the people selling these, and you may need to heat up the disc bolts use an impact driver or even cut them off, so ask if they have the old boltsfrom these discs as spares
270432953948 is just a single disc
130317537430 is a pair
Take the caliper off, take the pads out and get in there with a tooth bush and clean it all up. Use red rubber grease on the pistons before you push them in. That could save a bit of dosh .... you might need to replace the pads too.

Re: front brake calipers. also exspected top speed..?
just took the front brake apart, Disaster....
Master cylinder screw sheared off when i tried to remove the cap to fill it.....Doh...found this on ebay..400064804694.will it fit...?
The caliper that was Dodgy has leaking seals as both pistons are scored really badly, so gotta be replaced so gonna put the bike away till I get a new/replacement master cylinder and pair of 3tj 4 pots to go on it, no point in doin half a job, gonna ride my mountain bike to work for a week or two till i get the fzr sorted......
I could do with the excersise anyway...lol

That should fit. In fact I was going to recomend you look for a newer master anyway.

WOOT....
Just acquired a Pair of 4pot 3tj calipers with no leaks including good pads, hoses, hose splitter, master cylinder, resevoir & Lever all for £45 delivered to my Door.
only thing I'm unsure about is if they'll fit the diameter of the EBC prolite disks I've got arriving on the new front wheel... Hope &
is my best friend right now...lol

Should be ok ... the lugs on the fork legs where the variable.
I'd go with the Fazer master as you won't have to mount the TJ reservior anywhere.
If your tempted into braided hoses stick with a 3 line setup and measure your original set when you order them. A two line or race setup can foul on the clocks - I had a 3EN2 and I tried everything to get a 2 line to fit, in the end I just got a 3 line set.
