Carb diaphragm

Post by therefused »

hi there.

was inspecting my carbs.

when revved most of the slides move up and down like they should, the problem is on the rear left carb, the slide dosnt move up and down like the rest, asif it isnt picking up the same.

the carb also makes an odd sound, like its got an air leak or somthing?

is my diaphragm split and leaking air?

Take off the cover (4 screws) and take a look.

Check the rubber carefully for damage, or it just may not have been seated properly.

An easy way to check ( if the cars are off) is to put a hoover on the inlet side ( engine side) of the carbs and watch if the slides go up ! lol

Your carbs may also not be balanced properly... so if the butterfly is opening less than the other carbs the slide won't move as much.

Interestingly.. theres some brand new NC24 rounded sliders on ebay brand new atm.. £65 a pop though (cheaper than £125 list price)
