Yes it is an RC30, possibly ex race and I think he has carbon belly pan too.

I have not bought anything yet, I am still undecided which way to go, I want a UK NC30 but considering alternatives.

I have completed enough projects and rebuilds over the last 47 years, so I now buy the best I can find and afford and keep them that way, although minor fettling is interesting.

Yes you are right, that is why I used to do it, but now I go for original unrestored bikes or ones already fitted with good correct parts like HRC, Maxton, Spondon, Ohlins, etc.
