fair do's those mirrors look totaly fucking useless tony. however all it needs now is some widetrack forks and mag yolks, and a mag arm (the early type to suit the small hub and looks a bit rough zinc finish not the MDF lookalike shite on the RS models) and some 748R wheels with the wider single spoke.

Yeah they are, thats what i love about the bike, its completely focused for track not road, the floating discs rattle, the termi's boom and the clutch is even louder, its a effort to ride slow but open roads are a hoot. I got ohlins internals in the forks and its the best front end ive riden but id kill for a full ohlins set up.
Didnt know that about the 748R wheels are they much lighter?

I am looking to have a aluminium tank made and having one of these put over the top.

Id be interested in one of them, seen a few custom ones but dont have the means to knock one up myself. Surely by doing this will give you with more room to get air in to the carbs with a smaller race tank under the cover, could work well with a ram air setup???? You should offer some fiberglass covers for the track riders amoungst us

I was going to ask if people are interested in a ali tank I can see about having a batch made for the 35 and the 30.

GRP tank cover's are already available for the NC35 rear section is £60.00 front section £45.00 these can be good if you are racing and dont want to repaint and fix a tank thats got damaged.


Thats quite a nice 748 aswell I have a 916 Senna Dark Grey edition number 174 out of 300 I had a 748 before that.

Well id be interested in a ally tank, what size have you got in mind for them?

I kinda wish id got a 916 now, mines had the 853 kit but a 916 is just more iconic, i'll have to save my pennies for a sps

I am thinking of doing standard size on the NC30 and NC35 to start with and maybe some smaller ones after for track use all depends on demand

Hey EsKee,
The tank you covered with Carbon Fibre, did you use polyester resin or epoxy? Where do you buy
carbon cloth and resins? I have seen loads of fibreglass petrol tanks so there's no reason why a tank couldn't
be made out of carbon. I need to modify my tank to take a fuel pump, but if I can make a new tank from carbon
then I can save weight and modify my tank at the same time.
