Brembo master cyclinder
Hi, anyone fit one of these to a NC35? Thinking on getting one for the race bike. How did yea mount your brake fluid reservoir? Any other problems fitting it. Any pics would be great. Cheers

I have fitted brembo master cylinder and brembo calipers to NC29. As for the master cylinder no any issue, just need to changes position of brake reservoir. I think on NC30 will bee no too much difference.
PS: Really worth to fit, easy to stop bike just with one finger on the brake.

mate save the money and just get a front brake setup off a blade or sp1
i got sp1 calipers braided lines sintered pads and a cbr600rr master cylinder of ebay for £90 and some adapter brackets from Rick O and the brakes are amazing way better than a standard setup with a brembo M/S and a whole load cheeper

Cheers, that makes a lot more sense alright. Only have about 4 weeks till I'm out on the bike. The old m/c was leaking, put the service kit in it and changed to braided lines. And I can't get any pressure at all. Tried bleeding it and nothing. When you pull in the leaver you can see the fluid being pushed out through the bleed nipple and then getting sucked back in when you release it. Have a one-way bleeding valve on it. Should it not just keep pushing the fluid out in one direction? Anyway as a quick option was just going to throw a brembo m/c on it. thats alot of money for a quick fix
If you've got an rvf the cbr600rr/fireblade/sp1 calipers will fit strait on without brackets, get them and the mastercylinder from the matching machine otherwise it will feel spongey, you may be able to re use you braided lines from the standard brakes too
will be a hole load cheeper and as good.
At a trackday at RAF odiham I was underbraking a good 5 people every lap, off the main strait (almost a mile long) of 5 at a time and about 15-20m later than them
, was pissing quite a few people off actually but hey, its a 400 if they are gona use the power to pass me on the straits again, somtimes as much as 8 at a time, then sont get offended when im diving through any gap visible and pass on the brakes or corner speed

Erm I just brought 2003 CBR600RR brake calipers, new-ish pads, braided hoses, MC and Lever for £29.99.. bargain :D

and exactly proves the point, how much is a brembo m/s?
also its funny when your fighting with a blade/sp1/cbr600rr and doing them on the brakes, then they come see you in the paddock and notice you have the same brakes as them on your piddly little 4

And yeah.. going the for the newer calipers is the cheapest route... probably not technically as good as the brembo remortgage your house setup but there sooo much more than you'll ever ever need on a 400 :D
