Banzai Racing wk end results. 21-6-09
All in all a good weekend until race 5. Sitting in second place chasing the leader, entered the gooseneck and closed on a 600cc back marker a lot faster than anticipated. To cut a long story short the race leader scraped past one side, i went the other and just clipped the slower rider which tucked the front. He carried on non the wiser as my bike went rolling off down the hill with me sliding along behind watching
Managed to get the bike back and put the wheels in my spare machine which for race six and then the battery died after a couple of laps! So no championship points for me but im still leading the F400 and 2nd in Firmula Lites. Plus i stocked up on a couple more trophies for my collection and my lap times were good from the off.
Formula 400
Race 1 = 3rd
Race 2 = 3rd
Race 3 = DNF lap 2
Formula Lites
Race 1 = 2nd
Race 2 = 2nd
Race 3 = DNF lap 2
So please see my other post for parts wanted, bike already reduced to a pile of dusty parts, frame will be clean tommorow and rebuild can begin.

what is it about you boys and the gooseneck?!!
thats the 2nd 3TJ that it's claimed inside a month from this forum, I reckon If I had decent metal detector, at this rate I could build my own one from the bits you've left there in the off season!
anyways, Hope you're ok, and the budget can stretch to the rebuild.
Well done for the races you finished though, you're up there consistently, and that (as my experience tells me) is what wins championships...
toosmooth!

It is actually the second time the gooseneck has claimed my No1 bike!! I had a massive off there in 2004.
Bike looks worse than it actually is and will be back on form for the next meeting. Got a 6wk gap so there is no rush.
If you happen to find the Duzs fastners off my ram air scoop can i have them back?
