Hey, had alook at my pipe the other day as i noticed water dripping. And found a hole
Went to inspect it more with my fat finger managed to make it far bigger.

Therfore went rite on ebay and bought this:

Pretty much an impulse buy, however as it is a slip on can i need need some sort of link pipe to fit it.
Its a 52mm slip on and was on a zxr400 before.

Any idea of where i could get the link to fit- or will i have to get one made up? Which could be a good few £££?

Or am i just best off going for a stubby bewolf?

just cut the flange off the pipe and the slip on will fit over

well, puts me in two minds now wether to use it now or not.

dont even know if its fully road legal, and the last owner told me it was extremely loud.

i take it you lot dont approve, will get some pics of it on tomorrow and decide then!!!

End cans need to be a certain length to create enough back pressure for the bikes fueling to work correctly, something as short as that will do nothing for your bike except make big holes in the rev range making your bike run like crap.

Hi,

one of the first questions is where is the hole in the exhaust? If its in the downpipes/system then buying a new slip-on can isnt really going to achieve very much.


I doubt that its the can thats rotted through, more likely to be the system.

If you want a temporary fix, you could have a go at getting some gun gum and then using a combination of jubilee clips and goo to make some sort of wrap around exhaust bandage. This would only be a temporary solution though.

Your best bet would be to bite the bullet and speak to Graeme France about a stainless system.
