Toosmooth, that's too much for me. I gave away a whole FZ750 airbox 2 years ago as nobody bought it on ebay. It's not like it's something I need, it's just something else to try.

Alex.

I think mine's pretty good but a bit lacking lower down (it's a road bike not a track bike, so I could use as much mid-range as I can get).

135s are huge and bigger than on my FZR1000EXUP, which uses 125 in 1&4 and 122.5 in 2&3.

I was thinking of trying them and did get as far as offering one up but they're Mikuni jets, so slightly different thread pitch. They will go on but you've got to use a bit of force to re-cut the thread which is something that put me off as I don't want to be breaking anything or causing my own jets to get wobbly and fall out if I went back to them. Isn't the fuel consumption very high with those?

Have you ever done a top speed run on a decent straight? If so what did you get (you can PM me if you want)

I have actually been using my hybrid to commute to work for the last month or so, due to my car being off the road. The consumption is mid to high 40s mpg, not too bad and very good compared to my last bike which did 30mpg and 300 miles to a litre of oil! (RGV250, thrashed everywhere!)

Not done a top speed run, but she has no trouble reaching 130mph without breaking a sweat and loads of revs to go. I think I worked out that the red line would be about 154mph in top, gearing is 14/47.

Mine is a road bike too, hence keeping the longer bellmouths in place. She does not feel lacking low to mid, just a bot rough on constant or small throttle openings, open the throttle a bit more and it clears up and takes off.

This has got me thinking about dynos even more! :o

All of a sudden I found myself in love with the world,
so there was only one thing that I could do,
was ding a ding dang my dang a long ling long!

no probs on the airbox lid. If I get a 3TJ and lump a cat motor into it, I'll be needing it myself anyway.
