I stand corrected, lol :)

All I can say is that it must be a bloody tight fit!

I have a 16 th front on my NC23 . Its a 520 conversion and its the same as a ZXR400 front . I have a 17 inch rear wheel and a 42 rear cog.
Find all the options you want here, http://www.jtsprockets.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You just have to be adventurous and compare dimentions.

My bike is tuned and FAST.
I run a 14 front and standard rear and have never got close to getting it flat out on any UK track or French track. I really should lob on a bigger rear sprocket.
The only time I have it flat out was from an 80mph bend into a 1 mile straight on an airstrip and the bike was side by side with early CBR600's without using the slipstream.
Cant see why you would need a 16 front unless you have a huge rear sprocket.
My NC23 is running the 17" rear wheel too

16t fits on the front fine in the 520. i used to use 16 42 at phillip island. i didn't have a 15t until late last year when i used 15 39 which is slightly taller again. 40 on the rear would probably been better but i needed the top speed for racing due to the lack of hp.

There are tracks in France with 1km straights and I dont get flat out on my bike. Mines good for over 140 genuine possibly nearer the 150 EVENTUALLY with a long enough straight.
Is Philip Island really that fast that you can hit the limiter in top?
What model is your bike as both NC23's are geared different and again on a 29.
I was out last year on The Rock International track which is too fast really for 400's, on my R6 and there was a young lad on an RLR NC29. That was VERY fast. It was almost as fast as my R6 in a straight line. I suppose the exchange is having an engine that needs refreshed every 6 hours where as mine is set up for endurance, and is geared so I am comfortable on most track from fast mones to tight twisty ones without having to change the gearing though I am sure I could lob a fair bit off my National times if i raised the rear sprocket a couple of teeth.

it doesn't hit the limiter in 6th, gets 3/4 the way down the straight and just holds the rpm. not sure if it lack of power to push past that barrier, wind resistance, ignition timing etc. decide for yourself.

ha ha ha, who did you hear that off? i would call it pretty average. its alot faster than last year thats for sure, but last year i had 59hp this year an estimate would be around 66/67hp. its enough that i can pull out and get along side tozer now. considering the body weight difference i say i still have a decent disadvantage in hp. it took me the length of the broadford backstraight to do it though. and not even in the same league as ticking time bomb fzr... watching another 400 take 15 plus meters out of you on the straight, there's not even a fighting chance of winning (and thats on a slowish track :( looking forward to phillip island)
