3TJ valuation?

Post by ROB-RD350 »

Just after an idea what to ask for my FZR400 3TJ?

Its a 1990 G reg, 40300KM, MOT till May 2010, tax August 2009.

Was in good running order till last week when it lost all its fuel, turns out to be a small hole in the bottom of the tank, so although the bike is a runner it obviously needs attention.

Unfortunatly not a lot at all! I have bought a couple of 3tj's in recent years which were in similar situations for less than 350.

Mmmmmmmmmm, not alot.

I've made a few calls and the tank is being repaired this week so the bike will be in running order and ready to go.

If there worth so little i'd be better off keeping her i think.

They're worth what you can get ... and it's a shame they don't get as much as the NC30. Maybe the 30's overpriced and maybe the 3TJ is undervalued but that's the way of it.

Still looks good for another 600 conversion ;)

I've got a spare red / white tank ... or a black one with a dent if it comes to it

Thanks for that, if the repair doesn't go to plan then i'll def be interested.

Not sure really, if its only worth around the £500 mark then i'll def keep it as its a fun, reliable bike with nearly a years test, newish tyres and no faults other than the tank leak so not really worth selling.
