WIRING UP COILS ON VFR400 NC24

Post by speedy(delboy) »

I am having a few problems wiring up the VFR4 NC24 coils (I have attached a pic below to help with explaining).

I have the obvious 4 coils and 8 wires as per the diagrame, now natural thinking tells me to put all the black/white stripes to the black terminals on the coils and the remainder on either the green or blue, but when i do this, all I get is a buzzing from the started solinoid.

I thought the solinoid was busted so put on another one but the same thing happens.

Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong.

The starter solenoid should have little to do with the coils, sounds like a battery issue to me.

Your wiring on the coils sounds right.

a battery charger don't have enough amps to crank even the smallest bikes, so charge the battery and try again. The relay is perfectly fine, just not enough current.
