sump swop

right im looking at geting a set of bandit 400 down pipes on a gk73 today i had alook at this i toke my pipes off knowing there are some big diffances but on lineing the bandit pipes up it looks as thow it could just be a matter of just swoping the sumps over as i have just striped a vv bandit i have all the bits to do this . what i would like to know is if any one has done this or haered of it being done befor or if there would be any mager prob's in doing it

The sump will fit straight on but you will have to swop the oil sump filter over and there are small orings and spacers that you must put in, in the correct order. You may find that after everything is fitted that the pipe touches the fairing and melts it, suck it and see!

do you know where the o-rings and that are and am i useing mine or the bandit . im gessing you got no pics . an do you think the pipes will be okon the frount of the motor

Hi Jim,
If you look in the bandit manual there are pics of the parts. You will clear the front as the motors are basically the same but like i said it will be close at the rear. The oil sump filter is longer on the gk73 and will need swoping and under this you will find a shaped copper washer and o'ring.
