06 R6 Shock to 3EN2 - spacers?

Post by toosmooth »

offered this up today to see how it all looks and the top mounting on the FZR frame is wider than the R6 mounting point - whats the score with this, I thought it was a straight in?

anyone know what spacer dimensions would be if they are needed?

I've got the 07 shock fitted to my EN2. I can double check, but I think they are simply 2 X 5mm spacers with a 10mm hole through them.

You will probably also find that you have to grind part of the chassis back, just under the right hand side of the hole where the bolt on the bottom of the battery box normally sits. This will allow the shock's piggy backed reservoir to fit in place correctly.

You will also need different dog bones, but there's a guy on ebay who sells a set as a Jack Up kit with Exup etched on the side.

I've got some instructions kindly written up by a guy on here called Drew. If you let me know your e-mail address I'll fire them over to you.
