I've just had my NC35 trackbike on the scale: 155kg ready to run but without fuel. ti subframe now thats comitted, I think im right in saying the the bmc subframe weights about 800g
Im planning on making the front section of the standard subframe in ally and cutting the original in half bolt the ally front to the standard rear an hey presto, lighter but will still fit original stuff and the rear can be removed for racing/trackdays which shud loose a fair bit of weight

Spike16, is it the upper fairing stay that you made or the meter stay?? 120gr is very low weight, the std upper is around 350gr and the std meter stay is as Kay says 477-ish gr, most lightweight alloy ones (e.g tyga) are around 200gr each.
i'm currently working on a combined upper/lower front subframe that should tip the scales at 250gr, pic will follow in my own tread in due time..

its the upper fairing stay, its well simple I just coppied one i was given with the fairings but made it soe the faiirngs are a bit higher for more of a bubble to get behind,
Its just two bits of ally tube welded together with a third bit coming off the bottom that goes into a plastic bung i machined out of an old crash bung which goes on the steering stem, the ally tubes have plastic mahined bits help on their ends with R clips and threaded holes in each end for a bolt to bolt onto the fairings
very simple and very lightweight, thinking of making some new ones that bolt onto the frame in the same way as the original and are like put th eplactic mahine ends on similar to on the rs125 gp bikes, recon that will be even lighter and no welding needed.
here's a pic of the fairings stay and the exhaust hangar with 30 grams shaved off (mainly did it for looks tho), could go over kill with a drill but tbh i doubt it would make much difference and i like the new look

Also the previous has done a bit of err 'lightening' to the subframe were by one of the studs the hanger exhaust mounts too is stripped off, its ok tho as there still a stub so the rear nut holds it on and the front hold it strait, gona have to drill this out or drill a hole in the centre of the two so may go to town on the upper bit of the hanger with a drill (the bit you cant see under the seat)
I need to get the sand paper out tho as you can see its a bit pitted so il get rid of that and then give it a brushed metal finish (not really a fan of mirror polish)

flatstock, as in a flat piece of alloy, maybe 25mm wide, 2-3mm thick and cut to desired lenght, there is really no need for two upper mounting points, a single will do fine, since the bracket is only there for support.

I no, I saw your pictures and thought it was an aftermarket one and looked mint then realised it was the standrad cut so broke out the hacksaw and file
