Damn speed bumps.

Post by mattydrvf »

Does anybody else here have a problem with the underside of their bike grounding out over speed bumps. When im riding two up with the missus it doesn't matter how slow i go it always catches and they are only normal size humps. Also when i am two up and turn left at speed or go over a bridge it seems to catch my exhaust on the ground and seems like the shock is bottoming out on me. I have adjusted the shock to its max load and fiddled with the dampening but nothing seems to work. Do i need a new shock or does mine just need sorting out a bit....

It does sound like a knackered shock mate. A re-build is still and old shock with new oil, whereas a new shock with new tech will let you fiddle about a bit more to get it just right (or you could loose a feww lbs LOL)

Depends on how much your budget is. ABRmoto has a Nitron or Maxton for sale in the for sale section.
