3EN2 Fairing panels WANTED
Hi guys,
I have recently acquired an FZR400R 3EN2 and it is in need of a new right front and nose fairing. It is the red white and blue paint scheme shown here http://www.rampant-racing.com/fzr400models.html in the pic of the 1989 3EN2.
If anyone has these parts lying around i would be happy to take them off your hands, just name your price!
Thanks,
Simon

Re: 3EN2 Fairing panels WANTED
Ok - the 3en2 top fairings aren't easy to find and you might find it easier to get a black one and respray it.
The side fairings are a little easier as the FZR600 3he will fit and I think some years had a similar colourscheme to your 400, but again you can widen your search if you consider respaying.
If your not to concerned about keeping your bike absolutley standard then you could widen your search further and consider a 600 top fairing too. Some of them had different lights so you'd need them and probably the fairing frame but it could be an alternative.
Skidmarx make a side fairing in fibreglass but I'm not sure about the top for the 3en2 ... again this would need spraying
When Phil and I did up a 3en2 we respayed the bodywork but kept the tank standard. We used a Velencia sticker kit for an R6

Appart from the bodywork what kind of condition is the bike in ???

Re: 3EN2 Fairing panels or paint codes WANTED
Thanks Evilchicken,
I must say that looks great!
However I dont really want to change the scheme at all, the rest of the bike is mint apart from this damage.
the damage is mostly to the top of the side panel, I have already managed to repair it all, it just needs spraying now. I just cant find the damn paint code for the white anywhere! I got a red which is close enough but that white is weird, its almost silver.
I have seen plenty of side panels about, just not in this color scheme unfortunately
I did get a quote to have the panel resprayed at my local body shop, they said about £200 !?!? just to respary a small damaged area
So does anyone know the paint code for this white/silver?
cheers for your advice,
Simon

It's pearl white ... just ask any bike paint supplier
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/BIKECOLOURS_AE ... idZ2QQtZkm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The more pearl coats you put on the more the affect. I got mine from RS Racepaint

Ah pearl white, from what i've read elsewhere it was called silky white (00GE) is this the same?
I'm more inclined to go with pearl white then if you say so Evil as you seem to know what your on about.
cheers,
simon

It could be silky ... but the effect is called pearl.
Give the paint suppliers a ring and they'll probably know the colour anyway. You can try Image works for the stickers.
