Umm How the Heck ?? VFR400 NC24 Downpipe Fitting
Umm, just cant work this one out guys and gals so any help would be much appreciated.
The photo below shows the back of the engine where the downers are meant to go in (Through the frame), but the hole is smaller than the downers, so how on earth do you get them in without having to drop the back end of the engine out of the frame ??
Cheers

they don't go through the frame, they go behind it.
You have to take the engine out of the frame to fit the rear downpipes.
If you read...

the last line has a link to a guide on removing the engine.
Fun job eh

Just taken me an hour to strip the bike right down again, front wheel and forks off, switch gears and clip-ons off, clocks and front sub frame off, yoke set off, rad off, thermo off, coolant pipes off, etc etc.
Left with just the engine on the bench, blummin 9 engine mounting bolts to get that poxy frame off, could Honda get anymore more on or what ?
Well at least the downers are now on, so here goes again.

Thing is, I bought the bike in boxes, yet the engine was in the frame when I picked it up, so why didnt he put the downers on before putting the engine in the frame ??, pillock.....
