I agreerob, you,ve certainly got the BEST colour

I bought the bike for £800 with the intention of using and abusing it and spending as little on it as poss but so far i like the bike that much its well maintained and kept very clean, think its too good a bike to wreck.

Yup - that's because I had one in 1986.
I lasted a few weeks .... I'd had the first service but then overtook a line of cars on my way to work. A driver pulled into a driveway on the right and scooped me up, totalling the bike.
It hurt.
By the time everything settled I didn't have the dosh for another one and so I bought some leather "Bobo" trousers, an Aria Spencer Rep helmet and a VT250FD ... which caught fire !!! Then a FZ600 (which was where I first heard about the FZR400's) that was stolen ... then I moved to London.
So yeah I know those bikes :)

Heeehee,
I had the very same push-bike, sporting the orange/yellow tie dye effect paint scheme. NICE.
Ahhhh, Precious memories!

Re: New 3TJ owner
Great Pics of both your bikes
I have a 3TJ that had a dodge reserve switch
Easy to check with a multi meter
Remove the switch from the bike and the switch contacts are visable
Just check across them with the meter.
I think another way to do it would be to switch the bike to reserve before turning on and you should hear the fuel pump clicking.
Hope this helps

Re: New 3TJ owner
The fuel pump always clicks when the ignition is turned on.
The switch could be a problem but then again it could be the sender inside the tank ...
but the thing is you need to run the bike until either the res needs to cuts in or it runs out of fuel ... which is why you'll need to carry some extra in a container with you.
